The Dolphins continue to ponder what to do with Ndamukong Suh and have not ruled out releasing the defensive tackle, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Miami, per Jackson, is trying to determine whether to restructure Suh’s contract if he is willing or cut him. Suh has a cap hit of $26.1 million for 2018.
Martin’s case is obviously a sad one, and the entire situation which began during his Dolphins days was one the NFL never seemed to get its arms around.
The only hope is that he’s getting the help he needs now, and that others might reach out before their situations reach such critical ends. While the NFL culture doesn’t seem as open to acknowledging mental health issues (as a number of NBA stars are talking about their own struggles), perhaps Martin’s case can act as a springboard for more discussion.
His prime may be in the rearview mirror at this stage, but Suh adds a veteran presence to Los Angeles’ defensive front and has proved durable throughout his career. He has played all 16 games in every one of his seasons but 2011, when he played 14.

First, Darnold has the velocity to confidently make one of the toughest throws in any quarterback’s arsenal: cross-body to the opposite sideline. He does this despite clunky footwork as he’s dropping back, but it’s a nice throw he can build on.

It should have been intercepted by linebacker Chris Worley. In the NFL, this is the kind of throw that will get you benched.

This completion from the fourth quarter of the Ohio State game is one in which Darnold shows a better throw on the run than usual鈥攇enerally, his slow feet and choppy footwork get in the way of his ability to become a consistently effective thrower on rollouts. But this time, he bails out of the pocket and has a nice throwing motion to get the ball where it needs to go.
