NBA playoff odds 2017, Bulls vs. Celtics: Boston home favorite in pivotal Game 5

Youth Tyson Barrie Jersey
The road team is 4-0 straight up and against the spread through the first four games of this series between the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics. The Celtics hope to buck that trend with a win at home on Wednesday night.

Youth Jack Ham Jersey Boston is an 8-point home favorite in Game 5 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. In the first two games of this series, the Celtics lost outright as a 6.5-point favorite in Game 1 and a 7.5-point favorite in Game 2.

After blowing Oklahoma City away in a 118-87 victory in Game 1, the Rockets were tested a lot harder in Game 2. The Thunder jumped out to a 16-4 lead in the game and held a 68-62 lead at the end of the first half, but Houston turned things around and edged out a 115-111 win at home behind a 35-point night from James Harden.

Russell Westbrook did what he does best in Game 2, carrying the offense with 51 points while adding 10 rebounds and 13 assists. The Thunder scored 68 points in the first half, but were held to just 21 points in the third quarter and 22 points in the fourth quarter.

Now Oklahoma City will try to turn the series around at home, where it is 28-13 SU and 26-15 ATS. In their last seven games as a home favorite of seven points or less, the Thunder are 5-2 SU and ATS.

Friday night’s total is set at 224 points. The UNDER is 3-0 in Houston’s last three games in Oklahoma City.

After a dud of a game in Game 1, Game 2 provided the excitement that fans and bettors were expecting from this series with Harden and Westbrook going toe to toe all night long. With the home crowd in Oklahoma City behind them, look for the Thunder to put up a strong fight again in Game 3.

Magic plan to offer job to Cavaliers GM David Griffin when season ends

When the Cleveland Cavaliers’ season ends in May or (probably) June, the Orlando Magic plan to offer Cavaliers general manager David Griffin their president of basketball operations position, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

The Magic cannot engage Griffin until the season is over. Griffin’s contract is up after this year with Cleveland, and he hasn’t engaged in serious talks with the team about signing a new one yet. Still, Griffin has LeBron James’ seal of approval, has brought a wave of talent to Cleveland over the past three seasons, and hasn’t given any indication that he would want to leave the team that won a championship just a year ago.

Orlando currently doesn’t have a general manager after firing Rob Hennigan earlier this month. This season was the sixth straight losing one for the Magic, who have a few quality young players but nothing like a franchise piece to show for their high draft picks over the past few years.

It mostly feels like wishful thinking for the Magic, but it’s possible they are willing to pay Griffin more and enough to convince him to leave. Still, it seems much more likely that he would remain with the team that has LeBron James rather than reenter a rebuilding process.

When it proved to not be enough, the Pacers fired beloved and highly successful coach Frank Vogel. The same Frank Vogel who had been there every step of the way for the Pacers as they tried to climb to the top of the East. Vogel was also the coach who took over when Larry Bird fired Jim O’Brien in 2011. He dug George out from the end of the bench where O’Brien had left him and let him turn into the player he has now become.

Vogel’s inability to make the new roster work with Larry Bird’s preferred style eventually caused his demise. But whose fault was that really?

Bears’ Tarik Cohen was the NFL Combines smallest RB and HBCUs biggest representative

The Human Joystick isn’t a big guy. He stands 5’6, and odds are you probably haven’t heard of him. His name is Tarik Cohen, and he’s a running back out of the historically black college North Carolina A&T. Now, he’s a member of the Chicago Bears.

Youth Paul Worrilow Jersey Despite his short stature, Cohen feels his game will translate well to the NFL, in two ways that bring on comparisons to Darren Sproles.

My vision and the fact that I can make a play with the ball without getting like 20 carries a game, Cohen said. The suddenness to make an explosive play I feel like will transition well.

The Eagles got stronger at wide receiver in free agency, but they likely aren’t finished.

In Dan Kadar’s mock draft for SB Nation, he has the Eagles going with Clemson wideout Mike Williams, assuming he falls to them. Williams is arguably the best receiver in the draft and would really give Wentz a complete arsenal of weapons on the outside.

Youth Chris Carter Jersey Yet running back is also a big need for the Eagles. In the mock drafts we’ve seen since the offseason started, Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey has been the most popular selection for the Eagles at No. 14.

According to VisitPhilly.com, the NFL Draft Experience is free to the general public, and consists of 25 football fields of action.

Fans should expect thrilling activities like a 100-yard zip line, interactive exhibits like NFL Virtual Reality, awesome memorabilia in an NFL Museum, photo ops with the Vince Lombardi Trophy and access to view media interviews with NFL greats.

Jackson is an incredible athlete with blinding speed

Kids Oscar Robertson Jersey
Adoree’ Jackson could potentially start for Houston in the slot as a rookie, which would fill a crucial role, seeing as how the Texans utilize sub-packages the majority of the time on defense. He would also provide a major upgrade as a return specialist for a special teams unit—one of the NFL’s worst for many years–in dire need of talent.
Kids Heath Miller Jersey
Jackson is an incredible athlete with blinding speed, confirmed by his 40-yard dash result of 4.42 seconds at the NFL Combine. He has the necessary foot quickness and fluid hips to overcome any mistakes in coverage, with catch-up speed to allow him to make the play. His ball-hawking skills could make an immediate impact, ensuring that the Texans’ defense continues to be one of the league’s best. The additional versatility of potentially becoming a top returner in the league makes this pick a no-brainer. Jackson has a first round grade from many analysts and was even compared to Johnathan Joseph in Lance Zierlien’s NFL.com draft profile. To get him this late in the second round is a steal.

Analysis: As the draft approaches, first round momentum has been building for Jackson. Many believe he won’t get past Dallas at No. 28, so to get him here is a nice move. Jackson doesn’t have the size of some corners in this year’s draft, and his technique is raw. His athleticism, though, is off the charts good.

Because of his strong play along the offensive line and his leadership skills, Morgan was a team captain in 2015 and 2016. He also won several awards last year, including the 2016 Gene Upshaw Award, which honors the best lineman in NCAA Division II football. He also became the first offensive lineman to ever win the 2016 PSAC East Offensive Athlete of the Year award.

Morgan’s dedication helped him land an invite to the NFL Combine and the 2017 Senior Bowl in Mobile.

Jay Cutlers agent says the quarterback isnt ready to retire just yet

Jarome Iginla Jersey
Jay Cutlers NFL career isnt over yet. On Tuesday afternoon, Cutlers agent Bus Cook told ESPNs Adam Schefter that the free agent quarterback isnt ready to call it quits yet.

Jay wants to play football. He never has mentioned retirement to me,Cook told Schefter. Jay Cutler, as far as I know, is ready to play and wants to play, and his skill set is as good as any quarterback in the league.

One of the reasons retirement rumors have been floating around with regards to Cutler is because hes been clearly enjoying his offseason. He even had pictures of his butt make the rounds thanks to his wife Kristin Cavallari.

He became a free agent following the 2012 season, and he signed with the St. Louis Rams. His time with the Rams was brief. He tore an ACL in 2013 and 2014, and he was released by the Rams after the 2014 season.
Aaron Donald Jersey
Long had brief stints as a reserve with the Atlanta Falcons and the Vikings, and had an opportunity to start again for Minnesota due to injuries along the offensive line. That ended with the torn Achilles.

Long thanked all of the teams he had the opportunity to play for, but particularly the Dolphins.

Mr. Ross, Tony Sparano, and Bill Parcells, thank you,Longs statement read. You believed in me and gave me my first opportunity to live my dream of playing in the NFL. I will always be a proud and lifelong Miami Dolphin!

Long, 31, had the best years of his career with the Dolphins. He showed his full potential in Miami before injuries changed his trajectory in the NFL.

Seattle thus far has given no indication it would opt to enforce its rights

When the Seahawks signed Lynch to a new contract in 2015, they paid him a $7.5 million signing bonus. Under the terms of the CBA, any player who retires can be required to pay back any signing bonus money that was not accounted for on the salary cap at the time of his release.

Seattle thus far has given no indication it would opt to enforce its rights, but it likely will if Lynch decides he wants to play for Oakland.

If Lynch is reinstated and the Seahawks do release him, the team has the right to recollect $2.5 million. That’s an expensive proposition for Lynch, especially since Seattle would not seek repayment if Lynch were to stay retired.

Lynch under that scenario likely would want to be compensated by the Raiders to cover the $2.5 million, plus whatever other salary he would need to actually play football. Given the fact that running backs are not paid as much these days, the costs create a difficult scenario for all parties.

Trier, a 6’5 shooting guard, is a gifted scorer when he’s locked in. He led Arizona with 17.2 points per game last season while shooting 46 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from three-point range. Trier will be seeking redemption as a junior after his sophomore campaign was marred by a PED suspension that cost him the first 19 games of the year.

Trier’s absence was one of the great mysteries of the early part of the college basketball season. Speculation started when he was pulled out of Pac-12 media day, and continued as he showed up at team events in street clothes throughout the first two months of the year. Miller refused to update his status along the way before the news finally broke in January.

Coincidentally, the emails were revealed the same week that Sports Illustrated did a longform about the recovery of Tom Bradys stolen Super Bowl jerseys. In the article, former Giants running back Brandon Jacobs said a collector emailed him claiming to have purchased his game-worn Super Bowl XLII jersey, helmet, pants, and thigh pads from a Giants equipment manager.

In pro football history, the Rooney name is on the level of Halas and Mara. Now a member of the second generation of the family is gone. Dan Rooney, who died Thursday at age 84, was chairman of the team and ran it after the patriarch passed in 1988.

Jason Thompson Womens Jersey Under the fathers leadership, the team went from perpetual losers to the gold standard for success, with their four Super Bowls in the 1970s. Under Dan — not yet a year old when Art founded the franchise — they won two more, after the 2005 and 08 seasons, and reached two others.

But it wasnt just because they won those Lombardi trophies that the Steelers were — and are — the bar every other team tries to reach. Its because, even in the relatively lean years, the Steelers never wavered in the way they conducted business and constructed a team.

Good news: South Alabama is no longer on the schedule. A home-and-home with Joey Jones Jaguars proved strangely disastrous; the Aztecs went 0-2 against USA in 2015-16 and 22-4 against everyone else. But in both years, losses to South Alabama proved to be catalysts.

In 2015, they lost 34-27 at home, fought Penn State the next week, then won 10 straight games.

Texans exercise option to keep Jadeveon Clowney through 2018 season, report says

Elite Womens Eddie Lack Jersey
Lynch was the replacement for Willis McGahee, who was traded to the Ravens in the 2007 offseason. On his way out of town, McGahee gave a series of quotes about his distaste for Buffalo, a town he felt had unattractive women and little in the way of nightlife besides chain restaurants. Which led to this absolutely brilliant Kenny Mayne video about Lynch’s passion for living it up at chain restaurants.

As a matter of fact, he ate at Applebee’s 12 times during the bye week.

I love the ambiance… I love the decor… I spend a lot of time trying to figure out which one I love more: the ambiance, or the decor.
Alex Cobb Authentic Jersey Lynch managed a thousand yards in his first two years and was selected to the Pro Bowl in his second season, but was unable to gain his starting spot back from Fred Jackson after missing the first three games of the 2009 season with a suspension. He was traded during the 2010 season to the Seahawks for fourth and fifth round draft picks.

Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, the anchor of the Texans defense that led the NFL last season in fewest yards allowed, is now under the team’s control through the 2018 season.

The Houston Chronicle reported Friday the Texans have picked up Clowney’s fifth-year option for 2018. This upcoming season would have been the final year of Clowney’s four-year rookie contract.

When Phil Kessel’s shot rode up Zach Werenski’s stick and into his face, it was the turning moment of Game 3. And the end of the Columbus Blue Jackets rookie’s terrific season.

Authentic Kids Morten Andersen Jersey That … is a lot of dead blood vessels. Or whatever makes bruises happen. That’s a big bruise. I’m sorry he had to do this to all of us.

And that it happened in the first place. Fans wondered why play didn’t stop while he bled on the ice, but the rule was pretty clear.

Authentic Kids Joe Thomas Jersey #NHL on-site officiating supervisor Don Koharski refuses to say if correct call was made by play continuing with Werenski down, bleeding.

Them’s the breaks. Or the bruises. At any rate, the Blue Jackets tied the game minutes later, rendering the controversy moot. But that bruise on Werenski’s face won’t go away nearly as soon. In fact, it will keep him out for the rest of the season. Most of the line returns, though that only matters if coaches trust more linemen to contribute. Only five made more than 7 tackles a year ago, and two are gone. When end Gabe Perez was lost to injury early in the year, BSU just tightened the rotation. That worked out alright; David Moa and ends Jabril Frazier and Durrant Miles combined for 20 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, and four breakups, and BSU’s run defense was mostly decent. But there were breakdowns, and BSU wasn’t as good in the second half as it was in the first half.

Perez’s return could account for the loss of star end Sam McCaskill, but more options are needed, be they veterans like tackle Daniel Auelua or Perez or younger contributors (sophomore tackles Chase Hatada, Matt Locher, and Emmanuel Fesili, redshirt freshman ends Kayode Rufai, Jabari Watson, and Derriyon Shaw).

Masters 2017: Bubba Watson apologizes for dissing golf writer after missed cut

Bubba Watson, who missed the first cut of his Masters career on Friday, apologized for a “bad joke” in which he took out some of his frustrations on a golf writer.

“Golf is tough; I don’t know if you’ve ever played it,” Watson said, according to the Charleston Post and Courier’s Gene Sapakoff. “But writing articles is easy.”

Watson made his remarks after a tough day at the Masters, which began with four straight bogeys and ended with three bogeys on the back, including at the 18th, and the early exit.

Watson, who has had a down year with just one top-10 finish since September’s Tour Championship, apologized on Sapakoff’s timeline:

To be clear, Romo came through far more than he blew it. It just so happens that he blew quite a few games where Dallas’ season was on the line. However, it’s a new regime in Dallas now, and even the most diehard Romo supporters will begrudgingly admit that they prefer the measured, risk-averse style of Dak Prescott and his 23:4 TD to INT ratio to Romo’s heart attack-inducing, Favre-esque relapses. The highs might not be as high with Dak as they were with Romo, but the ride is much smoother. Romo was a rollercoaster. Dak is a Cadillac.

We’re peculiar about who we give passes to and who we decide will permanently bear the blame, no matter the circumstances. There’s usually no rhyme or reason on why or how we dole out these designations. Some people are Ferris Bueller. Others are Meg Griffin. That’s just the way shit goes.
